You’ve just returned from vacation and you have a lot of images you’d like to hang around your home or office so you can relive the good time you had. Or maybe it’s pictures from your son’s 10th birthday party, or from your daughter’s debutante ball. And…you may be limited in wall space, or you just want a quick and easy way to display a lot of photos with minimum fuss and bother.
Create photo collages!
Many are familiar with the collage frames you can purchase that have multi-openings in the mat, thus making it easy to display a collection photos in one frame. However you can dispense with the designated ‘collage frame’ and create a collection of images using other techniques. (Examples of each technique mentioned are in the slide show)
Gather and gang ’em
Arrange a collection of images freestyle in a frame. Cover the backboard of the frame with paper or fabric of your liking, and tape or paste the images to it.. Re-assemble and hang!
A more orderly way to create a collage would be to use handy little plastic fasteners called ’fotoclips’. Photographs are easy to assemble using fotoclips, and you’re not limited to the dimensions of a frame. With them you can create a collage, wall mural, or even a room divider! Fotoclips are available from Photojojo.com – a company full of different (and sometimes quirky) ideas for photographic image makers.

Re-purpose frames you already have
Take a frame minus glass and backing, and string it with framing wire to create a type of clothesline look within the frame. Use decorative binder clips to hang photos on the wire.
You can also create something different by stretching chicken wire across the back of an open frame, and using double magnetic clips to attach your images.
